Appropriating my morning coffee –

At first I noticed the beautiful vine pattern imprinted onto the coffee cup, I firstly added roses in blue, yellow and red onto different areas of the stems. I then decided to wrap Earth coloured string (that has been sitting on my desk, waiting to be used) around the base of the cup and lid.

I would be lying to say this work has been created strategically.

I began to reject paint brushes and directly apply thick acrylic paint straight from the cap, on the top of the cup, in the hopes to resemble flowers growing from within.
